Ilik is a Yerevan-based art café, which is famous for its warm atmosphere, where the intellectuals of the city gather together, talk and argue. The café is full of the spirit of revolution, revolt, but it's also adorable because of the handcrafted ethnic-themed items for sale. To accentuate all of these qualities in the café's logo, we opted to utilize a marker to give it an artistic vibe while also making it with a modular structure to make it stricter and systematized. The logo also features a floating aspect, despite its distinctive style. The word "Ilik" means "spindle," however we dropped the picture of a spinner since we felt the logo should provoke particular emotions rather than provide specific information. As a result, Ilik is both controversial and revolutionary, as well as warm and precious.
