Peter Marker

Location: Yerevan, Armenia
Year: 2024
Service: logo, branding

Peter Marker is a café-restaurant in Yerevan’s Eraz district, which also includes a bookstore. It’s a place where people can enjoy good food and read a book.
For the rebranding, our goal was to create a more engaging and distinctive image, while emphasizing the authenticity of the area and its environment.
We adopted an eclectic approach, blending art nouveau with retro styles, and placed special importance on the illustrations.
While we generally avoid the term "creative"—as it is often used without clear intent—creativity should be a means to solve a problem rather than an end in itself. A designer’s primary role is to be professional, not merely creative. Nevertheless, the illustrations for this project can genuinely be described as creative.
The illustrations were crafted by Anahit Hovhannisyan, whose work was instrumental in achieving our vision.

In the branding elements, you’ll notice a level of decorativeness not typical of our other projects. Our methodology does not adhere to a single style. Each project requires a unique approach and style tailored to its specific needs. The style is shaped by the business’s unique characteristics and discussed with the client, rather than being determined by initial preferences.
